The first tune (jig) was written by Thom Doodlesackpiper, a Swiss piper who often busks. The tune was introduced to the Melbourne trad scene by Oscar West and he said it was titled 'Another tune in A', which we loved. We promptly learned it and decided to slap a reel co-written by Caity Brennan and Angus Barbary 'untitled' (reel). The second tune has since been transcribed by burn tool on their kitchen bench top by some backpacking friends of theirs from Germany.

Once the set was complete we decided the melodies sounded like a solid trad set without too many frills, hence the name.
